The APPS curriculum offers general and advanced training on crucial topics from general pipeline surveying overviews, federal regulations, landowner relations, and environmental issues, to specific pipeline survey requirements such as creating class studies and managing an as-built survey.

Surveyors, engineers, and other survey team members who complete APPS’ training can earn continuing education credits and ultimately an APPS “Pipeline Surveyor Certification.”

The Association of Professional Pipeline Surveyors (APPS) tackles the growing industry demand for a qualified and eager pipeline surveyor workforce through a comprehensive pipeline survey curriculum. APPS also educates industry project managers, policy makers, and community stakeholders about surveyors' roles in assuring safe and effective pipelines throughout North America.

The Association of Professional Pipeline Surveyors strives to educate surveyors and their teams about the unique realities and demands of surveying dynamic infrastructure as opposed to bounded properties. APPS wants to strengthen the pipeline surveyor workforce, emphasize the importance of informed and educated pipeline surveyors, improve safety on pipeline project sites, and limit pipeline owner/operators’ legal and financial exposure.
